Flighty Finches

We had an amazing session with the lovely Nicky Hunter who helped us all recreate her beautiful painting of Finches. We first did the background with a wet on wet technique and using a variety of colours from milky consistency to creamy consistency we painted the flowers and stems that our Finches would be perched on.

After a fab lunch prepared by Wayne with lots of dishes to choose from, we settled back to finish our painting of the Finches.

We followed Nicky's direction on what colours to use and how to paint feathers and the Finches distinct markings. They were so good they almost flew off our pictures!!!

Everyone should be very proud of their masterpieces!
