Our last workshop of the year was a resounding success! From five star reviews for our teacher to five star reviews for our lunch, our students were really pleased with their experience today! Our inspirational tutor Deana Kim Page came up trumps again, drawing amazing results from both beginners and the experienced as we played with masking fluid and wet on wet techniques to create a set of six unique Christmas cards each. Messy, crazy fun!

We had an amazing session with the lovely Nicky Hunter who helped us all recreate her beautiful painting of Finches. We first did the background with a wet on wet technique and using a variety of colours from milky consistency to creamy consistency we painted the flowers and stems that our Finches would be perched on. We were delighted to welcome back a watercolour favourite Jake Winkle. Jake showed us how to create two masterpieces, Masai warriors and a snowy landscape scene. There was a full class of students who were lead through the preparations for sketching the warriors and painting the background, then faces, bodies and final their spears and skirts.
