We had a lovely day with Laura Brooks Payne who led a masterclass on creating a glass panel. She started the session by showing us how to cut glass carefully, then provided some examples to wet our appetite. The students produced such amazing designs and many were beginners. We all had a pleasant relaxing day following the wonderful Frank Walters instructions to create our own landscape masterpieces. Frank used an over head projector so we could follow his sketching the scene, then a step by step layering the colours to develop our paintings. We had another fabulous day with Lis Moon who taught us the rudiments of press flower art at our workshop at the Dutch Marketplace where we were amongst the beautiful flowers at the nursery in the Orangery conservatory.
