We started our first Art in East Herts series of workshops on Saturday when the delightful Deana Kim Page taught a workshop on how to use Acrylics to paint their favourite pet or animal. We had a lovely day with Laura Brooks Payne who led a masterclass on creating a glass panel. She started the session by showing us how to cut glass carefully, then provided some examples to wet our appetite. The students produced such amazing designs and many were beginners. We all had a pleasant relaxing day following the wonderful Frank Walters instructions to create our own landscape masterpieces. Frank used an over head projector so we could follow his sketching the scene, then a step by step layering the colours to develop our paintings. There were two painting sessions and with each painting we learnt new techniques. We had two beginners and they were amazing and produced fabulous pictures well done to you both!
