We had another fabulous day with Lis Moon who taught us the rudiments of press flower art at our workshop at the Dutch Marketplace where we were amongst the beautiful flowers at the nursery in the Orangery conservatory. Although it was a swelting hot day we all kept our cool.
Despite the heat we enjoyed our welcome refreshments outside and listened to Lis briefing us what we would be doing at the workshop. It was a relaxing day where we learnt about different flowers and how to arrange them on different coloured cards. Lis offered an array of pressed flowers and leaves and taught everyone how to arrange and glue these delicate flowers on cards. Lots of patience required but even mistakes or tears where easily rectified. Nothing was wasted a masterclass in eco art!
We also got to celebrate Ros's birthday and had an amazing lunch at Dutch Marketplace followed by birthday cake and a round of Happy Birthday.
We had guests from Cambridge celebrating a hen party so we made sure the bride to be and her friends had fun and an enjoyable day out!

This was the best way to celebrate my birthday. Everyone joined in.
Thank you Sue for organising this one
